We've Filled The Ethernet Ports & Used All The Bandwidth
Pastor Paul emphasizes the transformative power of being "interruptible" in fostering spiritual growth and genuine connections. Discussing the societal pressures that prioritize individual ambitions and independence, which often limit our capacity to be attentive to others' needs. Drawing upon biblical principles, we're urged to reflect on their intentions and the barriers created by unchecked desires that detract from meaningful relationships. Using a metaphor of Ethernet ports illustrates how our emotional bandwidth and time bandwidth becomes overloaded with demands, leaving little space for compassion and community. We're called to intentional living and generosity, and encouraged to create "open ports" for engagement in our lives. This promotes a supportive and interconnected community rather than a life driven by the Lust of the Eyes, the Lust of the Flesh, and the Pride of Life.
